The Chinese government-backed blockchain initiative, the Blockchain Service Network, or BSN, is introducing support for another batch of major blockchain protocols. On November 26, it announced which will integrate Polkadot, Oasis and Bityaun into its ecosystem on November 30th.

Polkadot’s blockchain protocol is designed to connect multiple specialized blockchains into a unified network. Polkadot also allows for the processing of numerous transactions across multiple chains in parallel, taking its network capability to another level. Oasis specializes in private and scalable decentralized financial instruments, while Bityuan is a blockchain solution provider for Chinese companies.

Yifan He, CEO of Red Date Technology and executive director of the BSN Development Association, reportedly said that the Bityuan framework is becoming increasingly popular in China, stating:

“I see commercial use cases based on the Bityuan framework are increasing recently in China. I believe that with this BSN integration it will ensure that developers around the world are excited to create dapps that are business and business oriented.”

The latest blockchain addition represents the third batch of blockchain protocols supported by the BSN network. Piloted in 2019, BSN launched its first set of blockchains including Ethereum and EOS in August 2020, with other networks like Algorand coming as part of the second batch.

As previously reported, the integration of new blockchain protocols allows global developers to access a given network through the nodes and portals of the BSN’s global public cities. To implement and manage their permission chains on BSN International, developers should create an account on the official website.
