Friends of the late TV star Heavy D have organized a fundraiser in his memory, following his tragic death at the age of 47.

The Celebrity Big Brother star – real name Colin Newell – was found dead on the kitchen floor of his north London home after a suspected heart attack earlier this week.

Her friend costume designer Lorna Onabanjo, who was the last person to see the star alive, launched a JustGiving Crowdfunder page in an attempt to raise £ 4,000 for the funeral costs.

Lorna’s page is titled: ‘We’re Raising £ 4,000 at Heavy D aka Colin Newell aka The Boominator is Dead. We have prepared this page for his funeral and to raise funds for his funeral x. ‘

Lorna paid a moving tribute to the star in the page description, writing: “Heavy D aka Colin Newell aka The Boominator known for his famous catchphrase” Booooom “is dead.

“People would describe him as an eccentric fool like marmite. For us he was our friend, brother and father always there. A real wild card.

‘The thought of not being able to call or see him is beyond all. We have created this page in his memory and to raise funds for his funeral as soon as we have more information we will update you. Thanks xxxx. ”

The fundraiser has raised £ 72 so far.

The star ignited a relationship with Bryony after tracking him down on Twitter after falling in love with his rowdy personality on TV.

The couple were engaged but separated on Christmas Day 2016 before reuniting briefly in February 2017, but separated again in August of the same year.

Heavy pitched the question to Bryony live on Fubar radio in September 2016 and was thrilled when she accepted his proposal.

The CBB star had reportedly not been seen for two weeks and had been silent on social media and her phone for the past week.

Her brother Patrick went to her home when he went missing after visiting costume designer friend Lorna Onabanjo in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex on November 14th.

Speaking to Mail Online, another brother Michael said: ‘He last spoke to a friend of his a week ago because the two had planned to have lunch together, but Colin was not well and said’ I’m a little sick, let’s do it one more time. ‘

“The police have been called and they think he may have been lying there for at least a couple of days.
