On Wednesday afternoon, the death of Puerto Rican salsa singer Cano Estremera, who apparently had undergone a lung transplant, was confirmed.
It was his wife, Yamira Arce, who corroborated the news through a post on Facebook, where she said that “my heart is broken, I have no consolation”. The 62-year-old salsa singer is reported to have died in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Carlos Enrique Estremera Colón, better known as Cano Estremera, sang famous salsa songs such as “A mi”, “Amor de medio tiempo” and “Social Friday”.
In the long career of the “Dueño del soneo” his time in the orchestra of Bobby Valentín is also remembered, between 1978 and 1988.
