Canada has now recorded more than 400,000 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
That overwhelming level was reached on Friday after Saskatchewan reported 283 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide total to 400,030.
The speed at which Canada reached the 400,000-case milestone once again shows the acceleration rate of the spread of the virus across the country.
Canada had 300,000 registeredis COVID-19 case 18 days ago, November 16.
It took Canada six months to register its first 100,000 COVID-19 cases, four months to hit the 200,000 mark, and less than a month to hit 300,000.
Nationwide, 12,470 people have died from complications from COVID-19 so far.
