Haaland shoots Dortmund with four (!) Winning goals – Bayern fail against Bremen

Bayern Munich surprisingly dropped points after five straight wins. Despite the 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen, the defending champion remains the leader, but Dortmund earn two points thanks to an incredible show from Haaland.

Bayern – Bremen 1: 1

Bayern Munich lost points for the second time this season. Against Werder Bremen, the Champions League winner does not come out with a 1-1 draw at home. Just before half-time, Maximilian Eggestein did not give the visitors an undeserved advantage. After the break, Bayern will soon draw with Kingsley Coman, but Hansi Flick’s side are no longer enough to win. Just before the end, Werder striker Josh Sargent has the best chance on his foot, but Manuel Neuer miraculously saves again.

After losing 19 league games to Bayern in a row, the Bremen team managed to score again for the first time and are now seven days undefeated in the league. Bayern remain in the lead despite the draw.

Hertha – Dortmund 2: 5

Borussia Dortmund made a profit from Bayern’s (half) misstep and moved into second place and up to a point above the leader. In Berlin, Lucien Favre’s side against Hertha received a huge boost after half-time and an outstanding Erling Haaland for the breakthrough and a 5-2 win. In 15 minutes, the Norwegian forward scored a hat-trick from 0-1 to 3-1. Haaland later also scored 5: 2.

20-year-old Haaland shows what makes him so strong: instinct, determination and dynamism. Haaland has scored ten goals in seven Bundesliga appearances this season. Only in the away defeat in Augsburg did he go empty-handed.

The lone 16-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko will make his Bundesliga debut in the 85th minute. He became the youngest Bundesliga player in history. The striker is replaced by Haaland, but the super talent no longer has a chance to score.

Gladbach – Augsburg 1: 1

Borussia Mönchengladbach negligently won three points against Augsburg. The “foals” with Yann Sommer, Nico Elvedi and Bréel Embolo in the initial line-up lead 1-0 for a long time thanks to an early goal from Florian Neuhaus and are also allowed to act in excess from the 66th minute and the card yellow-red against Augusta Raphael Framberger.

But in the end it was only enough for a 1-1 draw due to a late goal from Daniel Caligiuri. The German-Italian caught Yann Sommer with a massive direct buy in the near corner. Previously, Gladbach had several opportunities to close the bag. But Breel Embolo alone missed three opportunities 100%.

Schalke remain winless in the Bundesliga for the 24th consecutive time. After the last two consecutive draws, «Köngisblauen» lost 0-2 to Wolfsburg without question. Wout Weghorst led the visitors 1-0 in the 4th minute after a corner kick. Renato Steffen, once again strong, prepares the second goal for the “Lupi” with a thoughtful cross from the left wing. Admiral Mehmedi also plays immediately, Kevin Mbabu, on the other hand, sits on the bench for 90 minutes.

In an offensive match, Hoffenheim and Stuttgart shared the points. In the first half the Stuttgart team were the best team and could have entered the counterattack with two goals clear. After the change, Hoffenheim earned the point and was even close to winning. But Stuttgart’s Marc-Oliver Kempf scored in injury time by just 3: 3.

Despite a hair-raising own goal for goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky, Bayer Leverkusen won 2-1 against newly promoted Arminia Bielefeld, thus maintaining the link to the top. Former FCB defender Aleksandar Dragovic scored the winning goal in the final just before the end. Leon Bailey led the Werkself into rout with a 1-0 victory in the first half. But goalkeeper Hradecky worried shortly after half-time with an own goal, a happy draw for Bielefeld. After a back pass, the Bayer goalkeeper fails to hit the ball correctly and his grazing shot ends up in his own goal. Bielefeld hadn’t even shot Bayer’s door before.
