The UK government said: “The government today accepted the recommendation of the independent Agency for the Regulation of Medicines and Health Products to approve the use of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine against Covid-19.
He added: “The vaccine will be available across the UK from next week.”
The UK Vaccine Committee will determine who will be given priority to receive the vaccine, such as nursing home inmates, healthcare workers and the elderly, who doctors believe are at high risk of contracting the virus.

Pfizer said Britain’s emergency approval for the use of the vaccine marks a historic moment in the fight against Covid-19.
