One of Manchester United’s highlights, Bruno Fernandes made his professional debut in Italy. After passing through Novara and Udinese, the Portuguese midfielder arrived at Sampdoria where he met Emiliano Viviano.

In a conversation with Goal, the former Sporting goalkeeper revealed that he immediately understood Bruno Fernandes’ potential in Genoa.

“I was one of the few who supported him. Bruno always had everything, but when he arrived in Italy he lacked tactical knowledge and a certain intensity. He has learned and now he has exploded and showed all his qualities: he plays with both feet, a lot of technique and he is agile. He is the leader that Manchester United was missing, ”he explained to Tuttomercato.

Remember that Bruno Fernandes spent a season in Sampdoria (2016/17), from where he left to head to Sporting. For the Genoese club he scored five goals in 35 games.
