Malcolm CaSelle, a blockchain technology pioneer and Bitcoin entrepreneur, has died at the age of 50, according to a social media post by friend and colleague E. David Ellington.

“My younger brother, business partner, adviser and friend, Malcolm CasSelle, died yesterday in Mexico,” Ellington wrote on November 18, 2020. “Apparently, his friends said he had a stomach ache when he woke up. . CaSelle was the CEO of BIGtoken, a data management platform that leverages blockchain technology to allow consumers to own, verify and sell their personal data. He was CIO of OPSkins, a video game skin exchange platform, and president of Worldwide Asset Exchange (WAX), a marketplace for digital assets built on a blockchain. Over a career spanning decades, CaSelle has contributed to numerous projects in the media, video games and technology sectors.

According to his bio, he was an early stage investor in several Bitcoin-related companies.
