Biostar is mostly known in this country for its motherboards, but graphics cards are occasionally added to the portfolio as well. So now with the Radeon RX 6800 and 6800 XT in the reference design.
For the release of the new high-end graphics cards of AMD Radeon RX 6800 and 6800 XT based on the RDNA 2 graphics architecture on November 18, all well-known manufacturers had already announced the standard version of the new models in the form of MBA (Made by AMD ) first should then continue on November 25 with the launch of the custom models on the market. Based on AMD’s reference design, however, there are no surprises and so you can see the cooler, which turned out to be good in the test, along with a cover from the rack and adapted fan stickers, while underneath the “Navi” chips 21 XL “and” Navi 21 XT “work with their known key data regarding compute units, clock frequency, etc., which also applies to specified power consumption and variety of connections. According to the data sheet, the supply includes quick instructions only.

In addition to the known key data and associated performance, Biostar swears in its press release on the longevity of the new cards. Meanwhile, the manufacturer does not provide any information on availability or prices, but here too the indicative values are 579 euros and 649 euros RRP, which are currently exceeded at best due to limited availability. Another supplier in the form of Biostar may only be useful for the current poor delivery situation, but the models may not even hit the market in this country. At the moment it is not possible to find the two graphics cards from Biostar in the PCGH price comparison.
