Babylon package for Civilization 6 in the video

2K Games and Firaxis Games have released a new video on the Babylon package for “Civilization 6” which will be released on November 19, 2020 (included in the “New Frontier Pass”). The video gives a first impression of Hammurabi at the helm of Babylon.

Information on Hammurabi and Babylon

• Hammurabi, the sixth king of the first Babylonian dynasty, is probably best known for introducing the Hammurabi code. It is one of the earliest known pieces of legislation that focuses on physical punishment for crimes, but at the same time postulates the presumption of innocence, also known in German-speaking countries as “in doubt for the accused”.
• With Babylon’s “Enuma Anu Enlil” ability, Heurekas grants all science for technologies, but science production is reduced per turn. With Hammurabi’s “Ninu Ilu Sirum” ability, the building with the lowest production cost in each special district will be built for free upon its first construction. Additionally, an additional envoy is granted when other districts are built for the first time. The ability is not applicable to the seat of government.
• The Sabum Kibittum is a special close combat unit from antiquity and has additional locomotion and vision, as well as increased combat strength against heavy and light cavalry units. Babylon’s unique building is the Palgum, which is unlocked with irrigation. It replaces the water mill and provides additional production and living space. The food produced by all freshwater tiles also increases, but the city must be adjacent to a river.
