As postscript here, we can’t mention the reveal of Baby Yoda’s real name without pointing out where she came from during the episode. The source was Ahsoka Tano, the Jedi that Katee Sackhoff Bo-Katan’s character told Mando to track down during last week’s episode.
Even though the episode didn’t give us the name of The Child – Ahsoka reads Baby Yoda’s mind, and that’s where it comes from – Ahsoka’s introduction to the series was a real fantastic surprise on its own. His proficiency with double lightsabers, his incredible fights – certainly gave me the exact same feeling described by a IGN reviewer like this: The new episode of The Mandalorian it was a “pure Star Wars shot right in our eyes and, damn it, we felt good”.
