The covid-19 pandemic has also ruined the plans of thousands of fans hoping to enjoy the show by nu metal band Slipknot.
But today, two months before the end of 2020, followers of the band from Iowa, United States, woke up to the good news that the musicians will be on tour next year in Colombia, Brazil and Chile, with the Knotfest.
In 2018 the festival passed through Colombia and left great musical moments that have remained forever etched in the minds of the participants. This year the organizers had big surprises planned for the spectators, but due to the pandemic these dreams have been postponed.
But the spirit of metal has survived and already the first band that will undoubtedly bring life to metal fans in the country has been announced.
The group, recognized for its impressive staging, announced the news through its social networks and caused quite a stir due to the enthusiasm of the fans, which they were waiting for the final date when the band set foot on Colombian soil.
“#Knotfest: South America 2021. More information soon”, were the words of the band that were moved and left their loyal fans eager for more.
The festival, which exhibits different metal subgenres, has been held since 2012 and has traveled to countries such as the United States, Mexico, Japan, Canada and France, where millions of followers were able to enjoy the presentations of great headliners and metal icons like Lamb of God, Deftones and Marilyn Manson.
In Colombia he has been twice with greats like, Judas Priest, Helloween, Behemoth y Testament, bands that are characterized by the height of their performance.
The Knotfest announced the news through a video with archival images, where they showed the strength of their past editions and with which They invited fans to follow the festival’s regional reports to keep up to date with their news.
The festival is expected to announce the bands that will accompany iconic Slipknot in the coming months in its passage through South America, but meanwhile the expectation grows.
Bogotá promises to explode next year with Knotfest, but also with Kiss’s farewell concert, which according to Move Concerts, the company organizing the event in Colombia, has already been rescheduled, has a date and place:
