The video tells the order that afflicts all the titles of the franchise, the Templars

With the launch of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft has decided to bring some videos to remember the history of the saga. The second volume explains a bit the Templars who, while laying the foundations for the new title, cross paths with other games in the franchise.

This is just one of the many volumes that will arrive to prepare the way for Valhalla. Watch the video and explanation below:

Who are the Templars in BC?

In the video, the director of the Assassin’s Creed franchise script explains with a simple caption who the Templars are. According to the one shown in the video, originally called The Order of the Ancients (AC: Origins), the modern Templar order is a secret organization hiding in the cracks of history. They work by manipulating society to ensure that their vision of “order” and “security” for all is realized.

They are usually led by a Grand Master and are organized through rites, as well as other secret organizations such as Illuminati, The Order of the Knights Templar, Knights Hospitaller and other.

How do they try to manipulate society?

The Templar Order is bold and is known to work to manipulate entire economies, elect puppet politicians, or place corrupt popes in the Vatican, just as they did with Rodrigo Borgia (AC: Brotherhood) in the 15th century. However, the manipulations of the Templars are not limited to human affairs. The Templars are also aware of strange and mysterious artifacts, left behind by a precursor civilization. Such artifacts that can strongly affect both the human mind and the body. These ancient artifacts are also known as “pieces of Eden” and are used by the Templars for a variety of purposes: to heal, resurrect, revive ancient memories or explore mind control ability.
