Artem Dzyuba, whose sexually explicit video was leaked, has been removed from the shortlist of the Russian national team.

“Every player, on and off the pitch, has to respect the requirements of the national team. Artem will soon realize that this decision we made was correct,” said Stanislav Cherchesov, Russian coach.

Sergei Dzyuba, Artem Dzyuba’s father, also said: “I haven’t had a chance to speak with Artem yet, I heard he was removed from the national team. See you.”

Following the events, the 32-year-old player suspended his social media accounts.
