The new Apple MacBook Pro 13 was launched alongside the MacBook Air 13 (2020) and the new generation of Apple Mac Mini at the “One More Thing” event on November 10th. We discover today that the Apple MacBook Pro 13 model is also available locally via QuickMobile.
This model integrates a 13.3-inch IPS LED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a brightness of 500 nits, with True Tone technology and Wide Color Gamut support. We have configurations with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM and SSD storage up to 2 TB. Obviously we have on board the new Apple M1 CPU, octa-core, developed on a 5nm architecture. It promises to deliver 3 times higher performance than the latest Intel laptop variant. At the same time, the GPU goes up to 2.6 TFLOPS. It also comes pre-installed with the new macOS Big Sur operating system.
The battery is a 58.2 Whr unit that promises up to 17 hours of battery life (browsing) or 20 hours of video playback in the Apple TV application. From the point of view of connectivity, it integrates 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2x Display port, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
The laptop is dedicated to professionals, so it supports better video rendering and editing. It can play 8K ProRes videos at the highest quality in DaVinci Resolve. It also has a built-in touch bar for easier editing, stereo speakers that promise studio quality, and 3 microphones. Additionally, we have a 720p FaceTime HD camera.
