All the curiosity surrounding the M1, Apple’s new SoC, has shown that this is totally different from what we are used to. With a performance that has proved above average, this seems to have everything to be a success.
The tests were repeated and revealed that everything Apple has promised will be fulfilled, but in different areas. A recent Antutu test evaluated this SoC and it was amazing again. The results are high and have left the iPad Pro too far away.
Antutu wanted to discover the secrets of the M1
Based on the ARM architecture, Apple's new M1 SoC has proven that it will be the ideal solution for everyday use. With all the benefits of an ARM processor, it combines energy savings with high processing capacity here.
It was already known that its performance would be above average, with Apple revealing very interesting values. Now, and in a test by Antutu, it emerged that the SoC M1 has high values, especially leaving the iPad Pro very far from its results.
This SoC hit the iPad Pro
Interestingly, when using the app built for iOS on the new MacBook Air, Antutu found that it was detected as an iPad Pro. The new macOS Big Sur was also marked as iOS 14.2. More importantly, the score achieved was 1,119,243 points.
When compared to the 755,294 points obtained in the graph below, we can see that they are very far from each other in terms of performance in several areas. The reason is in the SoC used, M1 and A12Z and the difference in the construction of these.
A bet won by Apple
The MacBook Air has more than 50% CPU-level performance and also in the GPU it has over 45% compared to the iPad Pro. This value is even more impressive when you know that the A12Z SoC was Apple's most powerful, even surpassing the Bionic A14 of the iPhone 12, although it still uses 7nm lithography.
These results now revealed by Antutu mainly confirm much of the information shared by Apple. The M1 is the company's most powerful SoC and certainly a radical change in what it has for its equipment.
