“João Lima joined @ ivory.lisbon with the aim of helping to promote the importance of mental health. I am very proud of our children, ”he began writing.
“There is no health without mental health. About 800,000 people die from suicide every year, this being the second leading cause of death in people aged between 15 and 29, “he wrote, adding that” this moment in which we live makes it urgent to talk about mental health and without taboos on depression. “
Anna Westerlund recalled the complicated phase Pedro Lima went through before he died. “Pedro was being followed by a psychologist and a psychiatrist in online dating. I had a strong desire to be treated. There are drugs that have suicide as a possible side effect. If you say this, it is because in some people it will cause this effect. This is a fact that is not speculation, “he said.
“Depression has different forms of existence, it can be more or less” fulminating “, more or less visible to the eyes of others, it can be more or less silent”, he wrote, adding: “It is important to talk about certain diseases without associating stigmas . It is important to realize that those with AIDS are not promiscuous, that those with diabetes are not greedy and that those with depression are not bankrupt ”.
“Realize that everyone without exception is susceptible, at any moment, to exceed our limit, because no one knows what the trigger is. Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide. For those who are outside, sometimes they cannot understand, for those who feel inside it is sometimes difficult to explain. All that remains is to talk about it. No taboos “, finished
