Onishchenko, a member of the State Duma, said that due to restrictions on routine medical care around the world, it is possible to spread measles, which according to the World Health Organization classification is one of the most dangerous infectious diseases at the moment.
Onishchenko pointed out that many medical institutions around the world have announced the suspension of measles vaccination programs for children, including the Australian Murdoch Institute for Children’s Research in Melbourne.
He added: “I want to warn countries that are currently abandoning preventive medicine and national vaccination campaigns of grave danger. There is a risk of a much more dangerous infection than Covid-19, and in early childhood.”
