Scientists from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia have made the thinnest three-dimensional model of the coronavirus.

According to the university’s website, microscopes and protein databases were used to build the model.
According to the scientists, their development demonstrates the modern structure of the SARS-CoV-2 virus at the atomic level and reveals details that previously could not be seen.
“The model shows the complete ultrastructure of the virus as we know it today, and not just incomplete tapic proteins arbitrarily placed on the lipid membrane,” said study author Ngan Nguyen.
Scientists believe their model will allow research into previously unexplored aspects of the virus and accelerate drug creation for kovid 19, says “Sputnik”.
