The cycle of the Argentine Juan Pablo Segovia in America has ended, and not in the best way. He does so without being taken into consideration and due to differences with his coach, Juan Cruz Real, who has decided to give way to the very young Pablo Ortiz, also on the left.
Segovia wrote a message on his Instagram account confirming the disagreements he apparently had with his compatriot.
As you recall, during the start of the pandemic the gaucho defender had not reached an agreement with the managers regarding a salary cut, so he was absent from virtual training and only until 1 August he joined the group in individual training, which undoubtedly did not allow him to reach the best races.
Segovia joined the Scarlet team in January last year and under the guidance of Alexandre Guimaraes he held the role, both in the league and in the first Copa Libertadores match against Gremio, being champion in the second half.
The last match was played on the 20th when they lost 1-2 against Equidad on Sunday 15th November. His hand in the box allowed the Bogota side to win, with Matías Mier running.
Everything indicates that his weak performance gave Juan Cruz Real arguments to disregard him and play him for Pablo Ortiz, the same decision he made with other experts but who are low-level like Carlos Sierra and Juan David Pérez.
What is known is that the Argentine player himself met the executives and agreed to terminate the contract that bound him to the institution until December next year. Sad ending for a player who had been important last season.
