According to the information now revealed, the upcoming Radeon RX 6700 XT card is expected to carry a Navi 22 chip and 12GB of GDDR6 memory.
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT could carry the Navi 22 chip
The Radeon RX 6700 XT will be AMD's next mid-range graphics card. And recently there have been some details shared on the internet that will have been released via firmware updates for Apple's macOS.
According to information, the new RX 6700 XT GPU, as well as possible variants, will be based on the Navi 22 chip. The recently presented models from AMD (RX 6800, RX 6800 XT and RX 6900 XT) are based on Navi 21.
The new GPU will carry 12GB of VRAM memory
Furthermore, the graphics card will also have 12 GB of VRAM memory. This capacity is more than the 10GB that rival manufacturer Nvidia offers on its GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. This information was also left in a tweet from user Patrick Schur.

The macOS update further confirmed that the RX 6700 XT will have 40 compute units, which is 20 fewer than the RX 6800, 32 fewer than the RX 6800 XT and half the RX 6900 XT.
In short, AMD's next graphics are expected to be a true successor to the Radeon RX 5700 lineup. However, it still offers more power efficiency and faster clock speeds. The new card is estimated to consume between 186W and 211W, or less than the 225W consumed by the RX 5700 XT.
The Navi 22 chip has a 192-bit memory bus (Memory Bus), which means your cards will need to have 6GB or 12GB of VRAM.
AMD will have already told its partner manufacturers that Navi 22-based graphics cards would be released sooner than expected. Right now, the brand is expected to launch the Radeon RX 6700 as early as January 2021.
