Just a day before the sales release of the Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT based on the Navi-21 GPU and the new RDNA-2 architecture, the manufacturer’s benchmarks on the performance of the larger of the two new ray-traced graphics cards are making the round. The Web site VideoCardz a corresponding sheet has now leaked.

RDNA 2 supports a whole range of features via the DirectX 12 Ultimate API that didn’t yet exist on the Radeon RX 5000 series, such as ray tracing, which is demonstrated in the manufacturer’s benchmarks in 1440p.

Five games on Navi-21-XT in the DXR benchmark

The slide that has now emerged, which appears to come from an AMD presentation, shows the ray tracing performance of the Radeon RX 6800 XT with its 72 beam accelerators in the games Battlefield V (test), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (test ), Crysis Remastered, Metro Exodus and Shadow of the Tomb Raider in WQHD.

In Battlefield V, AMD sees the Radeon RX 6800XT at an average of 70 frames per second, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare it should be around 95 FPS – both games were running at the “Ultra” DXR level. In Crysis Remastered (test), players in the “High” DXR level should be able to expect an average of 90 frames per second.

Metro Exodus (ultra preset) is specified at 67 FPS, while Lara Croft in Shadow of the Tomb Raider is said to be on the Radeon RX 6800 XT with ultra presets averaging 82 FPS. The results of the Radeon RX 6800 with 60 Ray Accelerators and the Radeon RX 6900 XT with 80 Ray Accelerators have not yet been leaked.

The benchmarks are said to have all been run on a Ryzen 9 5900X (test) with 16GB DDR4-3200 in the highest possible level of detail.
