With the Radeon RX 6800 and 6800 XT, the Radeon RX 6000 series will make its debut on Wednesday, November 18, before the Radeon RX 6900 XT follows on December 8. Now especially the smaller model promises to have great OC potential and to reach clock rates of over 2.5 GHz with relatively effortless.
Navi 21 XL reaches 2.5 GHz at 60 degrees Celsius
As the developers of the CapFrameX GPU benchmarking tool – initiated by the two community members “ZeroStrat” and “Taxxor” – announced that a Navi 21 XL-based AMD Radeon RX 6800 with 3,840 ALUs averaged more than 2, 5 GHz too overclocked. Between 2,462 and 2,553 MHz it should be up to a maximum of 63 degrees Celsius in the benchmark.

Up to 270 watts maximum
The Radeon RX 6800 reference design, whose fan and voltage curve have been adjusted, consumed around 270 watts at its peak, averaging around 210 watts according to CapFrameX.
However, it is not yet known which synthetic game or benchmark was used to get the results and whether CapFrameX rated them on its own or only received them.
More details will follow soon
The editorial team is already in contact with the two developers and will update this message accordingly.
