Amazon puts cheated customers in front of pre-orders

Some PS5 buyers have found cat food in their Amazon packages instead of a console. They have been compensated, but many want their Playstation. Now there is good news.

The chaos around the start of the Playstation 5 has partly brought about strange flowers. In Britain, for example, numerous PS5 buyers who pre-ordered the next-gen console from Amazon complained that they found cat food in the boxes instead of the device. Foot massagers have also been reported, apparently a packaging error. As a result, Amazon financially compensated the customers. Even the e-commerce giant couldn’t promise a new PS5, much to the annoyance of users.

But now Amazon seems to have found a way out of the dilemma, as Eurogamer reports. The UK branch of the US group has apparently started writing to customers with an offer to put them on the pre-order list. Since Amazon’s cheated PS5 pre-orders have already got their money back, they have to pay the price again, in the hopes that all will be well this time around.

In a corresponding message, which Push Square manager Anthony Dickens shared via Twitter, among others, Amazon sets a deadline for the decision, which ends December 5 at midnight. If you want a second chance at the Playstation 5, you need to contact Amazon. The offer, as Amazon clarifies, is valid only for the console originally ordered and not received. It was not possible to order additional devices or a console for another user through it.

Early delivery for German Playstation fans

It is unknown if the PS5 will arrive with fans of the British console before Christmas. There is good news in this regard for those who pre-order the so-called third wave on Amazon in Germany. Anyone who pre-ordered a Playstation 5 on November 19th on the Amazon.de platform can now expect delivery on Friday or Saturday. So far there has been talk of a delivery date between 14 and 19 December, as Game-Pro writes.
