Amazon is rolling out a new platform for publishing short video games related to games. Called GameOn, it is a kind of TikTok, with short productions lasting between 30 seconds and five minutes.

The focus of the platform is on smartphone players. Currently, Amazon already owns Twitch, the leading social network for streaming games with longer videos, more than an hour. Here, the tool helps the player to record a moment of his game, edit in small cuts, and publish in a production of up to five minutes.

The novelty has a program for Android, iOS and Amazon’s Appstore with which the player can also record his reaction with the selfie camera while playing on the smartphone.

In other words, the idea is not just to offer a social network, but a tool to capture, edit and publish short videos.

To date, GameOn is compatible with over a thousand games. According to the program description, titles like PUBG Mobile, Crossy Road, Gardenscapes, Fishdom, Angry Birds 2, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is War robot already works with the new program.

This is not the company’s first venture in the industry. In addition to purchasing Twitch, Amazon also announced its own game streaming service called Luna and also a free game package for Prime subscribers.
