Those who haven’t been able to pre-order or secure a PlayStation 5 yet may have better luck on launch day. In addition to some retailers, Amazon EU has now announced additional ordering options for the PS5 launch.
Preorder or buy PS5 – this is the current situation: No matter if the digital version or the disc version, the PlayStation 5 is currently sold out after 2 waves of pre-orders. The PS5 will not be retailed at launch. At the moment, you can only buy the console at oversized lunar prices from retailers, for example on eBay.
But if you don’t have a PlayStation 5 yet, you might be lucky enough to order one on launch day. Because 2 dealers in Germany recently announced a new ordering opportunity for November 19th. Now apparently another big trader is joining.
Amazon talks about a limited PS5 contingent on launch day in some countries
What happens with Amazon restocking? After the announcement of the two dealers, news also emerged. According to which Amazon EU in an email to customers from different European countries such as Spain, Italy or Great Britain also has a limited stock of PS5 in prospect.
From 13:00 German time on November 19th, pre-orders should again be possible to a limited extent.
A fixed delivery date is not mentioned. It should happen as soon as possible, and you’ll get an estimated date after pre-order, it says in the mail. But this isn’t set in stone, because you don’t want to make false promises.
What’s up with Germany? As things stand, there has not yet been a concrete discussion about Germany. We have not yet received any information that German customers have already received such an email. But it’s quite conceivable that Germany will also be considered if there is apparently a new PS5 contingent for Amazon in Europe or for other retailers in Germany.
