Queen Elizabeth II first appeared in public wearing a crown mask. He visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Westminster Abbey.

On Wednesday, Queen Elizabeth II placed flowers on the grave of the unknown soldier, a spokeswoman for Buckingham Palace told the German news agency on Saturday. For the occasion, the monarch’s mouth and nose guard was black.

Due to the crown pandemic, the head of the British royals had thought of war victims without the usual ceremonies. The queen quietly placed the bouquet in Westminster Abbey, the royal palace said Saturday, according to the AFP news agency.

The bouquet was composed of orchids and myrrh, much like the Queen’s bridal bouquet at her wedding in 1947. Elizabeth II was following a tradition started by her mother in 1923. Britain traditionally commemorates her fallen in war on the second Sunday of November. World War I ended on November 11, 1918.

Criticism due to the missing mask

During a visit to a weapons technology center near the southern English city of Salisbury, the 94-year-old had not worn any protection in mid-October. For this he had to receive a lot of criticism.
