Excavator there! But the construction of the pool still falls into the water
The excavator arrived from Germany to Konny and Manu Reimann’s property in Hawaii – with a considerable delay and for more than 10,000 euros more than expected. So be it. The craftsman king can finally start building the long-awaited pool among the palm trees. His “angel” Manu in particular can’t wait to cool off.
But when Konny Reimann walks around the area, the emigrant swims badly: “I know there are at least three pipes running from the house here”, he says suddenly and fears that there are foundations hidden in the ground where he wants the pool to enter. That would be the end of the dream of well-being.
“We just have a huge lawn there. It’s the only one we have and the pool can only be built there “, Manu says, visibly annoyed. And: “I’m slowly losing my patience.”
The underground tunnels prevent the construction of the pool
The problem: Konny and Manu Reimann know that the builder of the house has created an underground tunnel system. Unfortunately, they just don’t know where to go.
If Konny’s fears come true, the project could be on the brink. Concrete, iron – all this should be unearthed. “And this should go somewhere,” the customer says.
On impulse, the Reimanns walked into the part of the tunnel that lies beneath their house. Armed with flashlights and a compass, they explore the underworld. It is almost infinite and leads – overlooking the much desired swimming pool – exactly in the wrong direction.
For Konny one thing is certain: instead of the blue pool, he will soon take care of the blue paint of the house. Manus Pool has to keep waiting. Project postponed indefinitely.
Finally we are having fun with the grandchildren Oli and Kealan
Manu Reimann returns to the house in frustration. And at least experience a little ray of hope on the computer: Flights to the American mainland can be re-booked. Will he finally be able to see his children and grandchildren again? Corona had recently limited contact to video chats. The separation was visibly close to Manu.

Everything works! The grandchildren are now grown up, Konny and Manu Reimann had not seen their son’s boys for over a year. With all the euphoria – the atmosphere is gloomy. It is not without reproach that Manu bursts into tears when she is annoyed by seeing Jason and his family too rarely. The young family always has something in between.
Konny Reimann is sad: “From Texas to Hawaii, this is not a trip around the world. We should see each other more often“, He agrees with his wife. Does Jason knowingly avoid contact with his parents?
In any case, his wife Hunter justifies herself. Too often, spontaneous appointments at work get in the way. You can’t plan there. Sounds like an excuse. The farewell after just three days is just as exciting. Manu’s tears come again. “We don’t know if we’ll be back next week, next month or a year from now.”
A shock! The Konny lighthouse is no more
Before moving on to daughter Janina and her family, Konny and Manu Reimann take a detour to where they have lived in the United States for over ten years: Konny Island II Here’s the next shock. The place is unrecognizable. Konny’s lifelong work, the self-built lighthouse, is gone. Manu might cry.

But continue with Janina in Portland. And even violent forest fires cannot prevent reunification. The night before Konny and Manu Reimann arrived at their daughter’s house, heavy rain put out most of the flames.
As son-in-law Coleman returns home early from work to welcome the rare visit, the grandparents admire what grandson Charlie (1) has learned over the past ten months since they last met. He even grew up bilingual and totally kidnapped his grandmother.

Grandpa Konny goes to admire the garden with Coleman – is pleased with the vegetable brand’s self-cultivation in a self-made raised bed. Manu kneads with Charlie. Will he ever return the little man? And Janina? She too would like to never let her parents go.
The three generations come together to harvest, cook and cook apples. Although Konny Manus doesn’t like healthy, sugar-free apple waffles at all, Coleman’s apple and vodka mix is more to his taste. The tinkerer goes into ecstasy: “He does all the nonsense we do, that’s why it suits us so well.” And Janina’s applesauce is also good. The apple race within the family was clearly won by Janina and her husband, although Konny Reimann obviously sees it differently.
But even the best time for the family ends. The night before departure, the pumpkins are carved, so it’s time for Konny and Manu to leave. They would like to take their grandson with them. But of course this is not possible. Hopefully this time it won’t be goodbye for so long.

Manu Reimann wanted a swimming pool so badly. For five years she has been waiting for her little oasis of wellbeing in her Hawaiian backyard. But somehow higher powers seem to be at play: The project risks failure once and for all. Because after the excavator from Germany finally arrived at Reimanns’ property, there now seems to be a problem with the land where the pool will be built. Can Konny drive out excavators again?
And that too Drama about separation from her grandchildren goes to the next round for Konny and Manu Reimann. They haven’t seen their son Jason with boys Oli and Kealan in over a year, and it’s been seven months since they visited their daughter Janina with her little Charlie. Now that the crown measurements have been loosened, there are finally flights again – and Manu is taking this opportunity to mind. He can finally hug his loved ones again. But it becomes incredibly exciting.
And when they return to “Konny Island II”, the Reimanns get a nasty surprise.
