Maha Talaat, regional consultant to the WHO’s Infection Prevention Unit, said the decline of Corona infections in Egypt is an issue that has often been discussed in the organization’s crisis committee, noting that global health has studied. the reason for the delay in the emergence of cases in some countries.
He added in an interview with “The Story” show presented by Amr Adib on “mbc Egypt” on Monday evening that studies deny or demonstrate the difference in the spread of Corona in countries from others, explaining that countries differ in their strategy for uncovering cases.
He indicated that 16% to 40% of citizens do not suffer from Corona symptoms and the result of the analysis was positive for the virus, stating that the organization hopes there will be no increase in infected.
The regional consultant for global health said that the patient transmits the infection to two, which leads to the continuation of the cycle of infection and the increase of cases, stressing that the control phase of transmission of the infection is possible.
He said that the occurrence of a second wave of the Corona virus depends on the increase in numbers after the stability of infections over a period ranging from three weeks to a month. Follow-up: “Jordan, Tunisia and Lebanon were having negligible cases, so infections increased significantly, which led to a second wave.”
