In the play-off finals of the 2020 European Football Championship (EURO 2020), North Macedonia won the right to participate in the tournament by beating Georgia 1-0 away.

Goran Pandev scored the goal in the 56th minute, which led the visiting team to victory in the match played at the Boris Paichadze stadium in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia.

With this result North Macedonia, qualified for the first time in its history for the European football championships, will play in group C with the Netherlands, Ukraine and Austria.
