The medical community of Saint-Vallier (Drôme) is mobilizing to fight the epidemic. A Covid-19 screening center opened its doors this Friday at Saint-Vallier hospital. Ten nurses and about twenty volunteer doctors take turns to welcome patients with coronavirus symptoms. Some of these professionals are retired, others work at the municipality’s medical center.
Patients are screened and auscultated, especially those who do not have a treating doctor. The result of the antigen test is known on the spot after about twenty minutes.
To be screened, you have to make an appointment by phone on 04 75 68 37 87. This center is the result of a partnership between health professionals, the community of municipalities, the hospitals of Nord-Drôme, the ADMR and the Regional Health Agency. During the first confinement, a similar center had received 1,350 people in Saint-Vallier.
