Venezuela’s national team, led by Portuguese manager José Peseiro, defeated Chile this Tuesday, 2-1, and added their first win in the qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup.
Del Pino put the Venezuelans in front of the scorer, but the opponent’s response came through submission of Arturo Vidal.
With nine minutes remaining, striker Salomon Rondon secured Venezuela’s victory.
After three defeats, José Peseiro’s Venezuela scored the first three points in qualifying.
