Public security police announced on Friday that they had arrested a 27-year-old individual, indicted as one of those responsible for throwing stones at Benfica’s bus on June 4, after a match with Tondela, which injured Julian Weigl and Andrija Zivkovic.
The suspect was present at the judicial interrogation, in which the application of the most serious coercive measure was ordered: preventive detention.
The PSP also revealed that, as part of the investigation in this case, there were further arrests due to the practice of damage and threats, through inscriptions on the walls and doors of the houses of some players and coach, at the time Bruno Lage.

«On November 12th, the Metropolitan Command of Lisbon, through the Criminal Investigation Division, arrested a 27-year-old man on charges of attacking road transport safety and attempting murder. The detainee was indicted as one of those responsible for the stone throwing of the Sport Lisboa e Benfica (SLB) bus on 4 June.
During the investigations it was possible to ascertain that after the meeting between the Benfica and Tondela teams, a group of individuals belonging to the No Name Boys, orchestrated the attack on the SLB bus, through the throwing of stones, as well as the practice of damage and threats, through inscriptions on the walls and doors of the houses of some players and coaches.
Most of the people involved were already under house arrest in the same process, the latter being detained for the execution of the arrest warrant issued by the competent judicial authority.
The suspect was present yesterday at the 1st judicial interrogation where the most severe coercive measure was decreed – preventive detention ».
