Ubisoft, one of the leaders in the entertainment industry, launches Immortals Fenyx Rising, a new open world video game that combines elements of action, conflict and stories inspired by Greek mythology.
Ubisoft Bucharest has developed aspects that impact the entire game experience, from game mechanics, characters and abilities, combat systems, to the antagonist Typhon and elements of the game world, such as water.
The story of the game is inspired by mythology
Immortals Fenyx Rising is played by Fenyx, a winged demigod whose mission is to save the gods of ancient Greece from a dark fate.
With the help of special abilities, he fights with a series of mythological creatures such as the Minotaur, the Cyclops or the Cerberus, the famous three-headed dog, but also with other opponents, including Typhon, one of the most powerful titans in Greek mythology .
Immortals Fenyx Rising brings to the Ubisoft portfolio a title with a special artistic style and a story told with a lot of humor by the 2 narrators: Zeus and Prometheus.
The gaming experience is also enriched by the inclusion of logic problems that players have to solve.
The Bucharest studio was involved in the development of the game
All of these negative characters were brought to life with the help of the development team from Romania, who worked on the animations, skills, but also the combat system.
The Bucharest studio contributed both to the realization of the mechanics used to decipher the puzzles, and to some special abilities of the main character.
As they progress, players will be able to make Fenyx stronger and thus continue their progress in the latest Ubisoft production.
Over 70 specialists from the local studio contributed to ensuring the quality of the game, who took care of testing its functionality on current consoles, but also on new generation ones.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is partially developed by Ubisoft Bucharest together with Ubisoft studios in Quebec, Montreal, Singapore, Chengdu, Montpellier, Kyiv, Shanghai and Pune.
The game will launch on December 3rd on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms.
