Yesterday we informed you that Samsung has started rolling out the final and stable update A 3.0 user interface, based on Android 11 on Galaxy S20 series phones and today we also have details on aesthetic changes brought by this version. It offers a more refined interface that looks and feels different.

Samsung ONE UI 3.0

This software update started arriving on Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra. So far it has begun to reach terminals in South Korea, the United States and several European countries. By the end of the year it arrives in Romania. Furthermore, Samsung informs us that it will bring One UI 3.0 to Galaxy A phones in the first half of 2021. The new One UI will also arrive in the next period Note 20, Z Fold 2, Z Flip, Note 10, Galaxy Fold and S10.

As I wrote above, the interface has received a new breath, with a more pleasing aesthetic. The desire is to bring out useful information and content so that the user can focus more easily on what is important. Emphasis is also placed on customize. One UI 3.0 has more simplicity and elegant and has new visual effects, such as dimming / dimming for notifications. The appearance is clean and elegant, minimalist in this user interface. The animations are finer, the motion effects too, and the tactile response is faster and easier.

Unlocking the screen is smoother, scrolling is easier and pressing virtual buttons is more realistic. We have lock screen widgets that provide quick access to basic and informed functions. From there you can check the schedule for the current day or check the music. The music player is more minimalistic and we now have the option to reduce the opacity of the widgets on the home screen, to better enjoy the wallpaper.

With A 3.0 user interface we also have a new layout for video calls: edge-to-edge full screen. Also with One UI 3.0 you can rearrange several shortcuts so that you have them at your fingertips. You can rearrange quick switches in the Quick Settings area and make the most commonly used sharing options available in the Quick Share area.

In One UI, you can create work and personal profiles, each with their own arrangement of shortcuts. There is also news about rooms and galleries, so photos edited in the Gallery can be restored to their original state. The Gallery app will suggest several photos related to those displayed at a given time.

Wellness apps allow you to see in more detail how much time you have spent on your phone and in which apps, but also how often you check the screen while driving. We have been waiting for you to let us know in the comments on the Facebook group if the update has arrived and what impressions you have about it.
