Yesterday, Tuesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 98 Coronavirus healers have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving necessary medical treatment and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovered from the virus to 102,816 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, the Minister of Health and Population’s Advisor for Media Affairs and an official spokesperson for the ministry, said 392 new cases were registered that tested positive for laboratory testing of the virus as part of necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 16 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid said the total number that has been recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Tuesday is 116,303 cases, including 102,816 cases that have been treated and 6,666 deaths.
