Tom Beck talks about the long-term effects of corona infection

Tom Beck was infected with the corona virus in April. Now he’s recovered, but the actor and singer is still suffering the consequences.

It’s been seven months since Tom Beck got sick with Covid-19. He still feels the long-term effects of the disease. “The sense of smell is really still gone in some things. I’d say 95 percent of things smell the same to me as before, four percent different, and one percent don’t smell at all,” the 42-year-old told the German news agency.

“Terrifying and surprising”

The musician who lives in Berlin stumbles according to his own statements, especially with shower gels. “They all smell different in some way. Maybe at some point it will come back. But I find it really scary and surprising how the infection affects itself to this day.”

Born in Nuremberg, he was infected in April during the production of the musical show “The Masked Singer”, which he later won as a sloth. The ProSieben show, in which celebrities sing in disguise, has been hiatus for two weeks.
