POUGHKEEPSIE – Mayor Rob Rolison of Poughkeepsie has tested positive for COVID-19 and is in quarantine at his home.

The mayor was not feeling well last week, he stayed home and was tested for the virus and the lab returned a positive reading.

“I feel fine after a few days with aches and pains and a slight fever,” Rolison said. “The important message here is if you’re not feeling well, please stay home and help stop the spread of this virus.”

The mayor intends to work from home for the rest of the week and will follow health protocols. He hopes to return to the town hall next week.

The City of Poughkeepsie has developed a Coronavirus Updates and Resource Guide to provide residents with the latest information regarding the virus at https://cityofpoughkeepsie.com/coronavirus.
