Santa Fe and Junior have won their series and are already semi-finalists in the BetPlay League

Independiente Santa Fe beat Deportivo Pasto 2-0, while Junior de Barranquilla won the match with a 1-0 defeat to Tolima. With this result both teams passed to the semifinals of the Betplay League. Now Santa Fe will face Equidad in a duel from the capital, while Junior will face América de Cali in the semifinals.

The team from the capital qualified despite losing 1-0 to Nariño’s eleventh in the first leg of the quarter-finals. The goals of the match were the work of Jhon Velásquez, who defined in the 12 and 34 minutes of the first half. However, he had to be replaced in the 72nd minute due to physical discomfort that prevented him from moving forward in the dispute.

With this result, Santa Fe will try to reach the final of the Betplay League, facing Equidad, a team that also represents the Colombian capital, and which days ago beat Cali. The first match of this series will be at the Techo stadium, south of Bogotá, while the return match will be at the El Campin stadium.

In the midst of a close match, in which there were tension, red cards and an expulsion, from Leyvin Balanta of Tolima, at Estadio Metropolitano de Techo, Junior from Barranquilla won this match 1-0 against Deportes Tolima, with a 2-0 overall, they qualified for the 2020 BetPlay League semi-finals. With the guest victory, Junior achieved a 2-0 aggregate and with this result can now face América de Cali in the semi-finals.

With a goal from Miguel Ángel Borja, the “shark” team defeated the Ibagué team.

After Betplay’s quarter-finals have been played, only four teams will remain in the running for star of the year. The playoffs in the semifinals will be played on the weekends of 6 and 13 December.
