The back of the tablet reveals a similar design to what Microsoft used to be, with only the company logo visible in the center. The second photo shows us the tablet on the side. The chassis looks metallic and we see some of the buttons located on the device.

The recently dropped specs suggest a premium device that should replace the Surface Pro 7. The screen would be 12.3 inches and under the hood we’ll find a processor 11th Generation Intel i7-1165G7. We can also expect 32GB of RAM and a 1TB Samsung SSD. The tablet would be a significant upgrade, with the Surface Pro 7 only supporting 16GB of RAM.

According to Windows Central, Microsoft expects the new tablet to debut in January 2021. We will have both a non-LTE and an LTE version. Model number numbers would be Surface Pro 8 1960 (Wi-Fi version) and Surface Pro 8 1961 (LTE version).

There is no price information yet. Surface Pro 7 retails for $ 749.99 in the basic version and goes up to $ 2,099.99. Therefore, prices may be close to those of the current model.
