During the first incidents, Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner fired the South American country’s top sports idol.

Predicting that thousands of people will not be able to enter the Casa Rosada before the vigil ends, the authorities have decided that the funeral procession should leave for burial through Avenida de Mayo towards Avenida 9 de Julio, where the long line of followers still waiting.

Some people have gone up and passed through the bars that protect La Casa Rosada to enter without queuing.

Diego Maradona’s body will be transferred to the Bella Vista private cemetery, on the outskirts of the city of Buenos Aires, where the remains of what was considered the best footballer of all time will rest.
