“The opening hours of the doors to the public will be from 6 am (local time),” a presidential statement reported.

Around midnight, Maradona’s body left the morgue for a funeral home, from where he moved to Casa Rosada surrounded by a sturdy safety device and accompanied by some fans on motorcycles. Further, in every place he arrived, a crowd of broken-hearted but elated people awaited him.

Claudia Villafañe, Maradona’s ex-wife, and her two daughters Dalma and Gianinna, arrived at the presidential office before midnight.
Despite the pandemic, many hope that the wake will be as massive as that of Evita Perón, in 1952, or Juan Domingo Perón, in 1974.
