Last night all the French were in front of the television listening to Emmanuel Macron’s speech. The latter announced a three-step downgrade, subject to a “satisfactory” health assessment. Three important dates to remember: November 28, December 15 and January 20. Reactions from merchants, restaurateurs, culture professionals and the president of Medef Hérault Montpellier, Samuel Hervé.
Samuel Hervé is pleased to have obtained a calendar from the government. For the president of Medef Hérault Montpellier, it was necessary for any business executive to obtain perspectives on the weeks and months to come. The requests were therefore heard. From now on it is necessary to alleviate the great suffering of the business sectors that feel neglected, including catering and events.
This downgrading plan provides for the reopening of the shops, starting this Saturday, November 28th. Constrained reopening: closing at 21:00 maximum and strict health protocol. But it’s about saving the crucial holiday season for store managers.
Second stage on 15 December, if France does not suffer more than 5,000 daily contaminations and the number of people in intensive care is between 2,500 and 3,000: reopening of museums, theaters and cinemas. However, it will be subject to the curfew established for everyone, from 21:00 to 7:00.
Last stop on January 20, if contamination remains below 5,000 cases per day: the opening of buildings and restaurants. Note that the reopening of restaurants and nightclubs is not currently under consideration.
Companies closed from an administrative point of view will be able to obtain aid equal to 20% of their annual turnover.
