The actors dated for a couple of years before breaking up, but they continued to work together and, of course, strange situations arose.

Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki were one of the most famous couples on television … although we all found out after they broke up. Their relationship remained professional and friendly, which is perhaps why fans continued to see them as the perennial Penny and Leonard of The Big Bang Theory. However, it coincided that, as they ended their relationship, their characters started dating, which caused more than one awkward situation on set.

Cuoco was recently a guest on the Dax Shepard podcast and confessed that after breaking up with Galecki, the series’ sex scenes were a little awkward. “I remember when we broke up for a minute it was a sensitive subject, but Chuck Lorre (the creator) had written some episodes where, all of a sudden, our characters were asleep all the time “, recalls the actress. Cuoco and Galecki joked with the director and told him he did it on purpose to “ruin” them.

‘The Big Bang Theory’: How do Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki get along in real life?

After the first moments of the breakup, the actors continued to work as if nothing had happened. This is how he remembers why the relationship didn’t work out: “We talked about what happened on set and laughed at ourselves because there wasn’t much more to say between us.”

We would come together on set and we would go together. It was too much. It’s different on a sitcom because you don’t see every day. We met all the time. We had nothing to say to each other

She also acknowledged that hers with the actor was love at first sight, but she didn’t know if it was reciprocated. “We started dating early and it lasted two years. It was the start of the series. I remember when we were a pilot I really wanted Galecki. I had a crush and didn’t think he would notice me“.

Despite how badly they got on set, Cuoco believes the situation made him learn things. “We started dating and were crazy about each other for two years. Then we broke up. Luckily, Johnny and I got along really well. Now we’re closer than ever.” To this day, they support each other.
