EA explains why the game is better on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series than on PC

Yesterday we revealed here that the FIFA 21 will officially arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on December 4th. Those who have already purchased the game for their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be entitled to a free update with the new features of the game. However, players of FIFA 21 on PC will not have access to the news coming to the next generation of consoles.

Aware that this situation did not put PC gamers at ease, the game’s editor made a revelation, where he explained the reasons why the news will not reach them:

When we saw which generation to put the PC game on, we looked at our fans and what hardware resources they had. And we have this information to understand the power of your PCs, all over the world. And when we look at that, in order to run the fifth generation game, our minimum specification would be at a point that would leave a lot of people lost, unable to play.

Therefore, we have chosen to keep the PC version of the game in the fourth generation version of FIFA so that we can open doors and be inclusive for all who wish to play FIFA.

Summarizing – and simplifying – the words of Electronic Arts executive producer Aaron McHardy: if the next generation of FIFA 21 were released for PC, the vast majority of players would not be able to play at the same time, as the game’s minimum specs are a lot of more demanding than PCs than the vast majority of players who play FIFA.
