According to the Gamers Nexus YouTube channel, this internal device can reach the level of 93.3 ºC. The explanation, according to him, is because of the construction of the console, which is hindering the cooling of that specific location. This problem was discovered when the channel owner decided to take the console apart and perform a thermal test.
The top module, on the other hand, works at a much milder temperature, around 65ºC, as the PlayStation 5’s fan can cool it down without major problems. On a console considered too large, these temperature issues can open up a build problem.
With this in mind, it is recommended to use the PlayStation 5 in an environment where the console can be ventilated without interruption, especially in hot countries like Brazil, India, among others. Other experts recommend, in addition to good positioning, the removal of the console plates for better ventilation.
