FC Barcelona will face Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday 24 November on Ukrainian soil, on the occasion of a Matchday four of the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League group stage in which the Catalans will try to recover the good feelings after the painful defeat suffered a few days ago against Atlético de Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano, which sinks them even further in LaLiga Santander 2020-21 ranking.

Although with Koeman it has been improved in some aspects, Barça continues to have many irregularities in their game and many of its players, like Griezmann, still don’t show their best performance in 4-2-3-1. It is expected that little by little we will see the best version of Barça, with the introduction of new blood in the formations. The goal will be to get the victory against Dynamo of Kiev and, thus, to reach the virtual (or mathematical) ranking of the second round.

With the absences due to injury of Busquets, Piqué, Sergi Roberto, Ansu Fati, Araújo and Umtiti, and those of Messi and De Jong by technical decision, Barça will configure an experimental eleven in which the attack front will be composed of Coutinho, Pedri, Trincao and Braithwaite. Griezmann and Dembélé will remain on the bench this time and we’ll see if they end up having minutes or less in the second half.

Although the main thing will be to ensure the three points, Barcelona do not want to take their foot off the gas and are hoping to get a big win that will for like a breath of fresh air, knowing that Dynamo Kiev is not an easy opponent. In the second part some changes are foreseen it will depend on how the game goes, always with the aim of maintaining or increasing the intensity.

The XI of Dynamo Kiev and FC Barcelona

  • XI de la Dynamo Kiev: Bushchan; Kedziora, Zabarnyi, Mykolenko, Karavev; Sphepliev, Buyalskiy, Garmash; Shaparenko, Verbic, De Pena.
  • XI of FC Barcelona: Ter Stegen; S. Dest, Lenglet, Mingueza, Junior; Pjanic, Aleñá; Coutinho, Trincao, Pedri y Braithwaite
  • Barça bench: Neto, Jordi Alba, Konrad, Matheus, Dembélé, Iñaki Peña, Griezmann and Riqui Puig.

The eleven of Barça arrives with several novelties. On the defensive line Sergiño Dest will return to ownership on the right side, with Lenglet and the debutante Mingueza in the defense axis e Junior Firpo on the left side. Pjanic and Aleñá will complete a completely new pressure and control center of the field, while the attacker will be composed as we have already advanced from Coutinho, Pedri, Trincao and Braithwaite.

Dynamo Kiev, meanwhile, will go out to their stadium to play with the ambition to create difficulties and the illusion of scoring against one of the most powerful teams in their group. Lucescu’s team will grasp an intense pace of play from the first minute, especially under pressure and withdrawal. Barça will not be able to count on a team that will leave skin and legs, and which has already proved its worth at the Camp Nou.
