It has become part of everyday life for football fans not to be able to follow matches live on site. Mintzlaff then continues: “We all have to face the alienation currently observed by our sport, both in the Bundesliga and in the national team.”
The Corona crisis has not yet left Leipzig without a trace. According to Mintzlaff, 25 positions in fourth place are expected to be created this year, but only one has been filled. “We are planning an income deficit of around 30 million euros for the calendar year 2020 and are calculating in our budget planning for 2021 on a similar scale.”
