Microsoft Teams already let you make free video calls all day

Microsoft has added new features to the Teams collaboration platform and now lets you create group chats for up to 250 people and free video calls throughout the day, among other things.

One of the biggest new features in Teams is that it now allows users to make free video or audio calls 24/7 and share video conference invitations with anyone, even if they don’t have a Teams account.

Likewise, in its web and desktop application, users can start a personal or group chat with up to 250 people.

The platform also allows users to sync their chats from their mobile phone to their computer, as well as upload and share photos and videos from their computer in any personal or group chat.

The company also introduced a new feature in its Teams app for both Android and iOS that allows you to chat with contacts who don’t have Teams installed on their device.

To do this, users only need to enter the contact’s name or phone number to add them to a group chat, and if they don’t have a Teams account, users will be able to receive and send replies to the group via SMS. This feature is available in preview for users in the United States and Canada, as reported by the company on its blog.

Teams users will also be able to allow other people to receive push notifications whenever they leave or arrive at a designated location. In this sense, users will be able to receive notifications when a person leaves or arrives home, for example.

Teams also introduced new features to its mobile app, such as adding group chat events to the device calendar, receiving activity and location updates in the activity feed, and adding a photo to your personal safe.

The company reported that these features have started rolling out in the preview version of the Teams mobile app and will be fully incorporated in the coming weeks.
