Public health has identified 15 new cases of COVID-19 in the Bas-Saint-Laurent area, 11 of which in the RCM Rimouski-Neigette, as well as one new death at the Résidence des Bâtisseurs in Matane.
These new cases bring the toll of infected people in the region to 672 since the start of the pandemic.

This new death on 15is in the region, is the result of the COVID-19 outbreak at the Résidence des Bâtisseurs in Matane. This is the second death in as many days for this retirement home.
However, no new cases have been identified in the past 24 hours. The budget therefore remains at 66 residents and 20 workers who have contracted the coronavirus.
The Bas-Saint-Laurent Integrated Center for Health and Social Services (CISSS) also confirms that the recovery toll has risen to 547 recovered people.
In addition, 549 screenings were made on Friday.
Regional public health was concerned yesterday about the situation in Rimouski, knowing that several private parties and bar nights have led to the spread of the coronavirus.
La P’tite Grenouille bar in Rimouski has also temporarily closed its doors as a preventative measure.
In Quebec, public health has 1,189 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 32 new deaths.
